Solpadeine Plus Capsules are designed to provide effective relief from acute moderate pain that has not been alleviated by standard painkillers such as paracetamol, ibuprofen, or aspirin alone. These capsules combine three active ingredients to tackle pain and discomfort effectively.

Description
Ingredients
Each Solpadeine Plus Capsule contains:
- Paracetamol 500 mg
- Codeine phosphate hemihydrate 8 mg
- Caffeine 30 mg
Other ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, magnesium stearate, talc, sodium starch glycolate, potassium sorbate, and gelatin. The capsules also contain erythrosine (E127) and titanium dioxide (E171).
Warnings
- Addiction: Contains codeine, which can cause addiction if used continuously for more than 3 days. Prolonged use can lead to tolerance and physical dependence.
- Overdose Risk: Do not exceed the recommended dose. Taking more than the recommended dose can cause serious liver damage.
- Driving and Operating Machinery: May cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
- Allergies: Do not take if you are allergic to paracetamol, codeine, caffeine, or any of the other ingredients listed.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Children and Adolescents: Not suitable for children under 12 years. Not recommended for adolescents aged 12-18 years who have problems with breathing.
Side Effects
Common side effects may include:
- Constipation
- Nausea

- Drowsiness
Severe side effects, though rare, require immediate medical attention and include:
- Severe allergic reactions (rash, itching, difficulty breathing)
- Pancreatitis
- Severe stomach pain
- Difficulty urinating
Interactions
- Other Medications: Inform your healthcare provider if you are taking any other medications, especially other painkillers, sedatives, antidepressants, or blood thinners.
- Alcohol: Avoid alcohol as it may increase the risk of liver damage and enhance drowsiness.
- MAOIs: Do not take if you have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) within the last 14 days.
Dosage and Administration
Adults and children over 12 years: Take 2 capsules up to 4 times a day, as needed. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take more than 8 capsules in 24 hours.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
