Dioctyl Capsules are a stool softener designed to provide relief from constipation by making stools softer and easier to pass. Each capsule contains 100mg of Docusate Sodium, an effective agent for treating occasional constipation and irregular bowel movements.

Description
Ingredients:
- Active Ingredient: Docusate Sodium BP 100mg
- Other Ingredients: Gelatin, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Purified Water, Sorbitol, and colourants.
Directions for Use:
- Adults and children over 12 years: Take one capsule three times daily as needed.
- Children 6-12 years: Take one capsule twice daily.
- Swallow capsules whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the capsules.
Warnings:
- Do not use if you are allergic to Docusate Sodium or any of the other ingredients.
- Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant.
- Do not take for more than 5 consecutive days unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Avoid using if you have symptoms of appendicitis (sharp pain in the lower right abdomen), intestinal obstruction, or undiagnosed abdominal pain.
- Not suitable for children under 6 years unless prescribed by a healthcare professional.
Side Effects:
While Dioctyl Capsules are generally well-tolerated, some patients may experience:
- Stomach cramps
- Diarrhoea
- Nausea
- Rash or other allergic reactions If any side effects become severe or you notice any other unusual symptoms, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
Interactions:
- Inform your healthcare provider of all medications you are currently taking, including prescription, over-the-counter drugs, and supplements.
- Avoid taking Dioctyl Capsules simultaneously with mineral oil, as this can increase the absorption of mineral oil.
- Use caution if you are on a low-sodium diet, as each capsule contains a significant amount of sodium.
Storage:
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach and sight of children.
