Cystopurin Cystitis Relief is an effective treatment designed to ease the discomfort of cystitis, a common type of urinary tract infection (UTI). The terms UTI and cystitis are often used interchangeably, however they’re not the same thing – cystitis is a type of UTI but you can get cystitis that is not specifically a UTI.

Cystopurin Cystitis Relief is an easy-to-use granulated sachet is mixed with water to create a cranberry-flavoured drink, which helps alleviate symptoms like pain, burning, and frequent urination. Each sachet contains potassium citrate as the active ingredient, which works by reducing acidity in the urine, providing fast relief.

 

Common symptoms of cystitis:

 

  • Burning, stinging or pain when you urinate

  • A frequent need to urinate

  • Feeling that you can’t fully empty your bladder

Ingredients

Each sachet contains:

  • Active Ingredient: Potassium citrate (3g)
  • Other Ingredients: Sorbitol, Saccharin Sodium, Cranberry Juice Powder, Red Beetroot Powder, Magnesium Stearate.

 

Dosage Instructions

  • Adults and children over 6 years: Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 200ml of cold water and drink immediately. Take one sachet three times daily for two days.
  • Children under 6 years: Not recommended.

 

Side Effects

While side effects are rare, some individuals may experience:

  • Mild stomach upset.
  • Nausea.
  • Diarrhoea. If symptoms persist or worsen, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

 

Warnings and Precautions

  • Not suitable for those with kidney disease or those on a low potassium diet.
  • If symptoms do not improve after two days, seek medical advice.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Contains sorbitol, which may have a laxative effect if consumed excessively.

 

Interactions

  • Avoid using alongside other potassium-containing medications or supplements.
  • Consult your doctor if you are taking diuretics, ACE inhibitors, or medicines for heart conditions.

 

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

 

When to See a Doctor

If you experience severe pain, blood in your urine, fever, or if this is your first bout of cystitis, seek immediate medical advice.
