Description

 

Ingredients:

 

  • Active Ingredients: Chlorhexidine Dihydrochloride 5mg, Lidocaine Hydrochloride 1mg
  • Other Ingredients: Sorbitol (E420), Magnesium Stearate, Aspartame (E951), Lemon Flavour, Acesulfame K (E950)

 

Dosage:

 

  • Adults and Children over 12 years: Dissolve one lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2-3 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 lozenges in 24 hours.
  • Children under 12 years: Not recommended.

 

Side Effects:

 

  • Possible mild side effects include irritation or numbness in the mouth.
  • Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or swelling may occur. If you experience any severe side effects, discontinue use and seek medical advice.

 

Warnings:

 

  • Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
  • Avoid use if you have a history of allergic reactions to local anaesthetics.
  • Not suitable for children under 12 years.
  • If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, consult a healthcare professional.

OUR HISTORY

With over 50 years of experience, we know a thing or two about coughs and colds. We came from humble beginnings and grew to become one of the nation’s favourite cough brands. Here’s how it all started:

Pre-1960s

Covonia Bronchial Balsam was initially formulated and produced by Huddersfield chemist, S.T. Shaw. As sales increased, Mr Shaw contracted Thornton & Ross to produce Covonia

1968

Covonia, now owned by Thornton & Ross, is first licensed under the Medicines Act to start selling cough and cold remedies. The nation starts to Feel the Power of Covonia

1970s – 1990s

Covonia’s popularity rises, particularly among consumers looking for a no-nonsense remedy for coughs and colds

1997
