• Levomenthol: This cooling compound helps relieve congestion associated with chesty coughs and bronchitis.
• Squill Tincture: A natural expectorant that assists in removing phlegm.
• Liquorice Liquid Extract: Another expectorant that contributes to easing coughs and promoting comfort.

Dosage:

• Adults and Children over 12 years:
  • Take one or two 5ml spoonfuls every 4 hours if needed.
• Children aged 5-12 years:
  • Take one 5ml spoonful every 4 hours if required.
• Children under 5 years:
  • Please consult your doctor before administering.

Remember: Do not exceed the recommended dosage. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice promptly.

OUR HISTORY

Pre-1960s

Covonia Bronchial Balsam was initially formulated and produced by Huddersfield chemist, S.T. Shaw. As sales increased, Mr Shaw contracted Thornton & Ross to produce Covonia

1968

Covonia, now owned by Thornton & Ross, is first licensed under the Medicines Act to start selling cough and cold remedies. The nation starts to Feel the Power of Covonia

1970s – 1990s

Covonia’s popularity rises, particularly among consumers looking for a no-nonsense remedy for coughs and colds

1997

Covonia launches its first new product for almost 50 years, Covonia Expectorant. In 1998, it launches its Night-Time Formula too

1999

The iconic Covonia bull, ‘Stan’, is introduced and makes his debut on UK TV screens
