Description
Active Ingredient: The active ingredient in Canesten Internal Thrush Cream is Clotrimazole 10% w/w, an antifungal agent that works by disrupting the fungal cell membrane, leading to the destruction of the infection-causing fungus.
Dosage:
- Adults (16-60 years): The recommended dosage is one full applicator (5g) inserted into the vagina at bedtime. This is typically a single-dose treatment, but in some cases, it may be necessary to repeat the dose after 3 days. Consult your GP if symptoms persist beyond 7 days.
- Children and Adolescents: Not recommended for use in children under 16 years or in women over 60 years without medical advice.
Side Effects: While Canesten Internal Thrush Cream is generally well tolerated, some users may experience mild side effects, including:
- Local irritation or burning sensation at the site of application
- Itching or redness
